Sun, Mar 31: EASTER SUNDAY: Today's Good News: "...Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man had to be handed over into the power of sinful men and be crucified, and rise again on the third day."
Even to the people closest to Jesus, the people who saw Him perform great miracles and touch thousands of hearts in the process, it was difficult to believe Him... especially when he talked about His suffering, death and resurrection.
Today, we celebrate the truth that Jesus kept His promise and fulfilled his word. We remember His great triumph over sin and death: a life fully lived for and by love, a life lived in complete trust and obedience to the Father. Easter is about hope fully realized, faith rewarded a thousandfold and love resoundingly winning over death and darkness. Today, ask the Spirit for the grace of never being afraid because Jesus always, always keeps his word. Be not afraid, Christ has risen!
